Important Announcement

We are very sorry but we have to ask you to please bring ID of some kind to Saturday Night Swing Club (photo ID is best if possible alternatively a bank card should suffice). Please see below for further details.

We have been contacted by the management of the Amber Bar and informed of the need for our guests to bring ID this Saturday and until further notice. This is due to an issue with the licensing of the venue. Like many other central London clubs the Amber Bar is now required to hold details of their patrons whilst on the premises. For this purpose the club has a ‘Clubscan’ station at the entrance.

The ‘Clubscan’ machine will be used to scan a copy of your ID so that a record is made of your attendance at the venue. As stated above the management would prefer photo ID where possible but will use a bank card for this purpose where photo ID is unavailable. ‘Clubscan’ has been used for a number of years at a range of other venues and all details are held securely under the terms of the Data Protection Act.

Neither we nor the venue are happy that this should be necessary due to the nature of the night and the Amber Bar are working hard to obtain a variation to the terms of their license to allow our night to be exempt from these rules. In the meantime please be assured that every effort will be made to ensure that this will not interfere with what will be another fantastic night of dancing.
