Watford Live Street Party 26 August 2000

London Swing Dance Society took part in Watford Streets Alive festival with dancing, Lindy Hop lesson and MC'ing from Simon Selmon. Non-stop rain may have dampened the spirits of the regular shoppers and passers by walking through the town's Market Square, but not the members of the LSDS and the dancers who come to our regular Thursday class in Watford. Accompanied by Sophie Garner and her Swing Kings, and The Raiders, the enthusiastic crowd of dancers braved the rain and danced the afternoon away! The rain did not stop the Lindy Hop dance lesson, or the demonstrations by Simon and Taina, and the LSDS amature performance group.
