Chill at the bar or take to the floor to the sounds of new and classic big band, swing, lounge, R&B and more. 'Lounge' no longer has to mean sitting around - enjoy the style of a classic era with all the buzz of a club night out.

The Lounge – Non-stop dancing Saturdays 7.30pm-2am and Sundays 5pm-10.30pm.
The Shag Bar – Several different drop-in classes with top guest instructors throughout the evening.

Past instructors & classes have included Simon, Taina, Niall, Caron, Moe, Paul & Natasha, Rena, Joseph & Trisha, Paula & Ruth, Gaia, Nigel, Cat, Lorna, Alan & Julie, Warren teaching Lindy, Shag, Balboa, Charleston, Tango, West Coast Swing, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Blues, Mambo, Musicality, History of Lindy Turn.

The RHYTHM LOUNGE offers both dedicated swing dancers and hip twenty-thirty somethings a new weekend vibe. A Sinatra-Rat Pack-Garbo wannabe? RHYTHM LOUNGE guarantees the style of a classic era with the buzz of a club night out.

Resident swing DJ's Niall and Simon plus guests will play an eclectic music mix including neo-swing, lounge and traditional Rhythm'n'Blues. Dance or chill to the up beat sounds of original big bands like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and today's hottest bands, such as Ray Gelato and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

At some point during this heady, cocktail-fuelled evening, watch out too for the 1930s/40s Harlem-style 'jam circle', where top couples take it in turns to swing their stuff in a playful display of pure, high-energy, spontaneous dance.

Tribute to Fayard Nicholas:
19th Feb Rhythm Lounge celebrated the life of
Fayard & Harold Nicholas -
two of the greatest tap dancers that ever lived!
We had Cabaret spots from Irwen Lewis Dance Theatre Company and Junior Lanier accompanied by Niall Oates, showed dance clips on big screen and had a dance auction.

A BIG Thank You for all the donations, performers, people who were auctioned off -Johnny Lloyd, Nigel Anderson, Moe Hardy, Taina Kortelainen and Simon Selmon - and all the bids you made
in the dance auction!

We raised £550 for Fayard’s widow
Katherine & the British Heart Foundation.
